Fred acquired his interest in the Art of Photography at a young age ,since his father was a career Navy Photographer. His photography skills started to develop at Kellam High School where he worked as a photographer on the yearbook comittee. After high school he attended the Art Institute of Atlanta where his studies were fine art portraiture , and commercial product illustration . Fred has developed a unique talent as a portrait artist and specializes in envioronmental family settings , high school seniors and childerns portraits. He is a member of the Professional Photographers of America , and adheres to their high standards , and is among the top Professionals in the state of Virginia . Fred has recieved many awards over the years including the FUJI Masterpeice Award for a bridal portrait ,and Best portrait of a Family . Fred is a mountain bike rider and an avid road bike racer with several top finishes in Virginia Championship Races including 2 bronze medals in the Virginia State Crit championships. Several of freds favorate landscape pictorals where taken while on one of his many mountain bike excursions .
